Auckland is humming on the art front in August, with the opening of Artor, a new gallery in Grey Lynn and some excellent exhibitions across the city art trails..
Galleries visited this month include Orex, Suite, Artor, Public Record, Fox Jensen, Trish Clark Gallery, Browne School of Art, Season Aotearoa, Ivan Anthony, Melanie Roger Gallery, Michael Lett, Artspace Aotearoa, Anna Miles Gallery, Masterworks, Starkwhite, Tim Melville, Bergman and Gallery 250 – the eternal popup closing 1 Sep.
The Ponsonby / Grey Lynn trail is just a little far apart to walk the entire precinct. You can certainly walk from FHE Gallery to the end of Ponsonby Road where it crosses over onto the Uptown Art Loop at Bergman Gallery. From there, it is a 10 minute walk to Fox Jensen, Two Rooms and Trish Clark Gallery, another 5 across to Browne School of Art. From there it is 15 minutes to Season Aotearoa and Ivan Anthony Gallery.
The entire walk from FHE Gallery to Season Aotearoa is around 45 minutes.
